Liposuction or liposculpture in Lausanne

Liposuction, liposculpture or liposuction refines some areas of the body, such as the stomach, flanks, thighs, upper arms, legs, neck and chin. The term liposculpture is preferred, because thanks to precise and efficient techniques, a new body shape can be achieved by sculpting the silhouette.

Indications

Unwanted excess fat that does not respond to diet and exercise can be removed by liposuction in many areas of the body.

It is important that you have clear and realistic expectations regarding the desired result.

A healthy lifestyle, a healthy diet, and quitting smoking at least one month before the procedure will contribute to a smooth procedure and recovery.

Procedure

Depending on the location and size of the fat to be removed and your personal needs, local or general anesthesia may be required. Through punctured incisions, cannulas will be used to suck out the fat in the desired areas.

Downtime

Although activities can be restored very quickly after surgery, it is recommended you wear a special elastic garment for up to 6 weeks after surgery to help the skin retract and adapt to the new body contour.

Results

Results are long-lasting and the operation leaves no visible scars. The reshaping of the figure, the drainage of excess fluid and the retraction of the skin can take up to several months to be visible and stable.

The elasticity of the skin will not improve after liposuction. There is no way to guarantee the procedure will completely meet your goals if excess skin is present. In some cases, several procedures may be indicated and the combination with several techniques (see Renuvion®) may increase your chances of obtaining a more satisfactory result.
