What is PRP?
Blood plasma contains growth factors, stem cells and a high concentration of platelets. As a result, it has many advantages and therapeutic uses.
Injected into the skin, it gives it a glow, treats dark circles and slight imperfections. It can also be used to treat hair loss because the follicles of the scalp can regain their function following stimulation by PRP.
The treatment consists of injecting the patient's own blood plasma into the skin.
Course of the session
At the beginning of the session, a blood sample is taken from the patient. The blood is then centrifuged to separate the plasma. The physician then reinjects the plasma into the patient's skin using very fine needles in the indicated area (on the face or scalp). This procedure does not require anesthesia, is fast and almost painless.
Results
The results start to show after the first session.
The skin becomes more radiant, supple and toned. As the days go by and after the second and third session, the results are more and more visible. Dark circles begin to fade, the skin is rejuvenated and fine lines diminish.
For the hair, you will notice an improvement in its appearance from the first session. After the second and third sessions, you will notice that hair loss gradually decreases and that your hair begins to grow back.
Risks and side effects
Since the patient is injected with their own plasma, there is no known risk of rejection or side effects. Slight redness, swelling or bruising may appear after the session but will disappear very quickly.
Contraindications
At the time of your appointment with the doctor, please tell him/her if you have severe allergies, if you are pregnant or if you are undergoing special treatments. He will evaluate your situation and tell you whether or not you can benefit from PRP.
