What is laser pigmentation?
Pigment lasers have now been proven to treat multiple spots on the face, hands and body. More effective and quicker than cryotherapy, they erase lesions without changing the color of the skin.
Indications
This type of laser is indicated for the treatment of pigmentary spots or lentigo, of pale color. These are most often spots that have appeared following recurrent exposure to the sun.
The procedure
It is possible to treat pigment spots on the face, neck, décolleté and hands, as well as certain rough and red spots, without anesthesia.
The laser shots are performed by the doctor who moves the piece over each pigment spot. He uses aiming systems that allow him to precisely deliver the desired doses of light and energy to the target areas.
Post-treatment period
A gray appearance appears and lasts on the face for about 5 days. It is possible to conceal it with a little make-up. We recommend the application of a dermal regeneration cream twice a day for 6 to 12 days depending on the area. Total protection from the sun is essential as long as there is pinkness after the treatment.
Results
Pigment spots disappear after a few sessions, giving way to the natural color of the skin. Results are long-lasting, but exposure to the sun will make spots appear again. You can repeat sessions every 2 to 5 years depending on the evolution.
Risks and side effects
During your appointment, the doctor will explain all the possible risks and complications related to this procedure.
Slight redness and a grayish complexion may appear after the session but will disappear within 5 days.
