What is Bio-Remodeling?

The hyaluronic acid contained in the body helps plump up the skin, support collagen fibers and intercept free radicals. However, its production progressively decreases from the age of 25. This leads to a loss of skin elasticity, less moisture, the appearance of wrinkles and a more uneven skin appearance.

Hyaluronic acid is a latest generation injectable product with a unique concept of anti-aging treatment to act on the causes of aging and not only on the symptoms.

Based on hyaluronic acid, it is not a classic filler or revitalizer, but a bio-remodeling agent.

At Global Medical Institute we use Profhilo which has a unique and patented formulation that enables it to combine a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, the former allowing deep hydration of the tissues and the latter a treatment of skin slackening.

Profhilo contains 64 mg of hyaluronic acid in 2 ml of product, this unique composition makes it the product with the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market. This high concentration is possible thanks to the patented NAHYCO® solution that permits the administration of higher concentrations of hyaluronic acid without increasing its viscosity.

The use of this hybrid hyaluronic acid restores the skin's hydration, elasticity and tone. Its corrective and plumping action will correct skin depressions caused by aging or skin trauma.

Its immediate regenerating and tensor effect is ideal to prevent and compensate for skin aging.

Who is concerned by the Profilho treatment?

The Profhilo treatment is indicated to repair tired, dehydrated and sagging skin.

It is effective both on young skin and on skin that has already aged, giving it a long-lasting freshness boost.

Profhilo can be used on the face to redefine its contours, particularly in the malar-zygomatic,

submalar or brachial areas, and more generally wherever the skin has lost its freshness and firmness.

It can also affect the body, which changes throughout life. Indeed, genetics, environmental influences, weight gain and diets progressively contribute to the loss of elasticity and firmness of the skin.

Areas of the body such as the abdomen, inner arms and thighs or the knees are often the most affected. The skin tends to be dry and becomes increasingly flabby and wrinkled, especially on the neck, neckline and back of the hands.

How does the session take place?

The Profhilo treatment session takes place at the Global Medical Institute in Lausanne.

The administration of Profhilo is done intradermally, in the dermis rather than the epidermis, which ensures that an optimal amount of hyaluronic acid is delivered directly to the tissues that need it, thus ensuring the effectiveness of the treatment.

The injections are performed with a fine cannula or with blunt cannulas especially in the neck area.

Drs. Pietramaggiori and Scherer use the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique to define the injection points.

The BAPs correspond to only 5 distribution points per half of the face, and 10 injection points with the Profhilo Body treatment (abdomen and upper arms).

They allow the entire area to be flooded with hyaluronic acid in a harmonious and effective manner. These points are also designed to reduce the risk of hitting vessels and causing hematoma.

When treating the knee or other areas, the freestyle is worked on.

This technique allows for fewer injections, fewer sessions and less recovery time after treatment.

The protocol calls for 2 sessions at an interval of 30 days. A third session can be done after 4 additional weeks if the skin needs it.

The entire treatment must be repeated after 6 months to maintain its effects.

What are the consequences of the Profhilo treatment?

The fact that Profhilo is based on a pure hyaluronic acid without any added chemicals allows a better tolerance of the product and minimizes the risk of side effects.

However, swelling, a sensation of heat and redness are possible. They can be limited by applying an ice pack on the affected area. They remain transient and disappear in a short time.

There is no social eviction, you can return to your daily life immediately.

UV exposure should be avoided for at least 3 to 5 days and the skin should be protected with a sunscreen.

PROFHILO can be combined with all common filler treatments, PRP, laser and Botox®.

What results can I expect?
